1. No Way Out Readers’ Theatre/Play
A Readers’ Theatre/Play written for presentation by Holocaust centers and organizations, universities and theatres. Ideal for conferences, workshops, teacher trainings and theatrical productions, this script can be presented in about 90 minutes and comes with a CD of family photographs and documents, Nazi anti-Jewish laws and world events for projection on-stage throughout the piece. There are two versions; one for 6 readers/actors and one for 12. This script is appropriate for adult/high school actors, middle school (and above) audiences and is only available directly from the author. Royalty fees apply. Susan is sometimes available to travel on-site to work with a group and lead post-performance discussions.

2. No Way Out Readers' Theatre for Schools
A simplified version of the script described above which is designed specifically for middle/high schools. It can be presented as a class reading, Readers' Theatre or play by students/faculty in less than 1 hour. It also includes a CD of family photographs and documents and Nazi anti-Jewish laws and world events. A teaching guide is included. The script is available at the USHMM bookstore (1-800 259 9998) and Social Studies School Service (www.socialstudies.com) for $32.95. School groups are granted permission to make multiple copies of the script and perform multiple times without a royalty fee.

Both scripts #1 & #2 can also be performed as full plays using costumes, sets and memorization.

3. No Way Out: Letters and Lessons of the Holocaust Curriculum
A comprehensive 5-day teaching unit for middle/high schools in book form. It includes family photographs, documents, Nazi anti-Jewish laws and world events that can be copied onto charts or transparencies for overhead projector use. The text includes letters, family/historical background, quotes, poetry, discussion questions and extended learning. It teaches about Nazi Germany and the Jews via the story of the author’s family and sells at the USHMM bookstore (1-800 259 9998) and Social Studies School Service (www.socialstudies.com) for $32.95.

4. Workshops for Students and Teachers
Using No Way Out, groups examine the personal story of one family set against a broader understanding of Nazi Germany and the Jews. Susan conducts interactive sessions that involve group discussion and debate about universal issues such as silence and indifference, responsibility, tolerance, immigration, bureaucratic structure, civil rights and justice.
